Great tea begins in the soil, with the people who tend it. We believe a premium cup and a responsible supply chain are not in conflict – they depend on each other. Here is how we try to do right by the growers, the land, and you.

Ethically Sourced

We choose teas from gardens and producers who treat their workers fairly and farm with care for the land. Wherever possible we favour producers using organic or low-intervention practices, and we ask questions about labour and growing conditions before we buy.

Working Directly with Growers

We build long-term relationships with the farmers and cooperatives behind our teas. Buying closer to the source means more of the value reaches the people doing the work, and it lets us trace each tea back to a specific origin and season.

Mindful Packaging

We are steadily reducing unnecessary packaging and moving toward recyclable and lower-impact materials that still protect the freshness of your tea. Tea is sensitive to light, air, and moisture, so our goal is packaging that is both protective and responsible.

  • Prioritising recyclable and reduced-plastic materials.
  • Right-sizing parcels to cut waste and shipping weight.
  • Encouraging refills and resealable storage over single-use.

An Honest, Ongoing Commitment

We don’t claim to be perfect. Sustainability is a direction of travel, not a finish line, and we are continually working to improve how we source, pack, and ship. If you have ideas or questions, we welcome them at support@teaory.net.
