Teaory began with a simple belief: that a truly great cup of tea is one of life’s small, repeatable pleasures – and that everyone deserves access to it. Founded in 2020 and based in Hong Kong, we set out to bring carefully sourced, genuinely premium teas to people who care about what is in their cup.
Our Story
What started as a search for better everyday tea grew into something larger. Travelling through tea-growing regions, we met the farmers, pickers, and master blenders whose skill turns a single plant, Camellia sinensis, into an astonishing range of flavours. We were struck by how much craft sits behind every harvest, and how rarely that craft reaches the everyday drinker. Teaory exists to close that gap.
What We Stand For
We curate rather than stock everything. Each tea we offer is chosen for its origin, its season, and the care taken in processing it. We favour whole-leaf teas, transparent sourcing, and long-term relationships with the gardens we work with.
